I will be the first person to tell you I can do better than this photo. It’s grainy and a little pixely in places, but it was raining heavily and I just wanted my shot.

This is the arch at Washington Square Park, a place usually overrun with people. On this rainy night, it is peaceful and calm; the raindrops against my umbrella soothing. The Empire State Building far in the background fades and reemerges as clouds pass.
